Brie Lusheck is a highly accomplished and results-driven professional with extensive experience in strategic leadership, business development, and government relations across the nonprofit and public sectors. With a reputation for building collaborative partnerships and driving organizational growth, Brie has consistently delivered measurable results by designing and executing innovative, data-driven solutions. She is adept at conducting in-depth analyses of market trends, competitive landscapes, and internal operations, identifying key opportunities and challenges.
Previously, Brie served as Director of Business Development and Government Relations at the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, where she played a pivotal role in scaling the Wendy’s Wonderful Kids (WWK) program through systematic partnerships with state associations and community organizations. Her leadership in coordinating with government leaders and child welfare departments resulted in successful partnerships, increased market share, and the achievement of ambitious revenue and impact targets.
Brie’s public sector experience is equally distinguished. As Executive Director of Ohio Family and Children First Councils, she led a state-local partnership focused on enhancing the well-being of Ohio’s children, overseeing the distribution of Medicaid funds and the creation of flexible emergency support for families in crisis. During her tenure as Deputy Director of Children’s Initiatives in the Ohio Governor’s Office, Brie spearheaded key policy initiatives on Medicaid, Multi-System Youth, Behavioral Health, Home Visiting, Infant Mortality, and led the development of OhioRISE and multi-system youth funding. She was frequently called upon for public speaking engagements to advocate for the Governor’s policy agenda on children and families.
Earlier in her career, Brie provided strategic leadership and authored policy reports at The Center for Community Solutions, where she also co-chaired the Attorney General’s Elder Abuse Commission Policy Committee. Her experience in legislative liaison and senior aide roles at the State of Ohio and the Ohio House of Representatives further honed her expertise in policy evaluation, legislative analysis, and office management. She holds MBA with a Concentration in Healthcare Administration from Ohio University and a Bachelor of Arts and Science from Ashland University.
